Bernard Peasley
A retired engineer who created and operated his own irrigation consultancy between 1979 and 2014 and brings this business experience to the Filmonik team as treasurer. Since 1978 he has travelled globally to over 30 countries and is an avid photographer (film and digital) with a special interest in street photography.
2012 – 2016: created and directed the first five years of the largest, on-going, street photography exhibition in Melbourne – Shot in the Heart of Melbourne.
2014 – 2018: created and directed the annual photography exhibition for U3A Melbourne City and in 2015 managed the production of Don’t Stop Me Now, a documentary of a mature age fashion show as part of the Cultural Program of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival in the ANZ Pavilion of the Melbourne Arts Centre.
2014 – 2018: carried out all photography and videography promotions for the annual productions of the theatrical group Bloomsday in Melbourne.
2017: produced all photography and videography promotions for the environmental activist group Climacts.
Bernard is a writer of short and long fiction, poetry and film scripts. He has a passion for sound recording and audio editing and theatre acting. His Filmonik interests include sound recording, filmmaking (documentary and shorts), acting and facilitating artistic collaborations, accounts management and promoting Filmonik in Melbourne.
