Filmonik #81 Meetup and short films screening

Filmonik in 2022; more immediate, spontaneous, crafty, fun, inventive, weird and urgent films and filmmaking on a big screen and on a Void sound system. It’s fiercely non-competitive with an audience hungry for comedies, drama, suspense, animation, docos, experimental, trash, action, and everything in between in generally equal doses just by sheer luck of the spontaneous open-screen / BYOFilm submission process. Short films are under 5 minutes for a fast-paced evening and space for quick QAs with the directors. It’s our 81st screening so trust us it’s a great night out.

$8.50 entry via Eventbrite ($7.03+fees).

FILMMAKERS
It’s open-screen / BYOfilm; bring on a USB drive your most recent film that you own all rights to with a running time of 5 min and under and we’ll screen it. Limited screen availability and cutoff time 8:20pm. Best practice now is submitting in advance at https://filmonik.com.au/submit-your-film/ or announce to [email protected] Spontaneously submitted short films of any genre and of all filmmaking levels have been creating awesome and balanced screenings for the public. A quick QA with Iphy the host follows each film. Organize your own premiere with us or run a cheeky pre-premiere of your festival film. Guidelines here: https://filmonik.com.au/how-to-screen/.
